About EdgarScope

EdgarScope is a free search layer over the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission's EDGAR database, built to make corporate disclosures readable without wrestling with the original interface.

What this site does

Every company listed on a U.S. exchange is required to file periodic reports with the SEC. Those documents are public, but EDGAR's native search assumes you already know the company's CIK number and which form type you are looking for. EdgarScope removes that step: type a ticker symbol and you get the company's recent filings in reverse chronological order, each labelled with what the form actually is.

The three form types most people need are the 10-K, an audited annual report covering the business, its risk factors and full-year financials; the 10-Q, its lighter unaudited quarterly counterpart; and the 8-K, filed on an ad hoc basis whenever something material happens between scheduled reports — an acquisition, an executive departure, a restatement. EdgarScope indexes all of them and lets you filter by form type on any company page.

Where the data comes from

Filing metadata and documents are read directly from the SEC's public EDGAR full-text search system. Every result on this site links back to the original document hosted on sec.gov — nothing is rehosted, rewritten or summarised in a way that could change its meaning. Company reference data is refreshed on a daily cycle.

EdgarScope is an independent project. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the SEC, and nothing published here is investment advice.

A filing tells you what a company reported. It rarely tells you what the number means next to last quarter, how a dividend has actually held up across a cycle, or whether a move was already priced in. That analysis layer is what our companion site FNReport covers: earnings breakdowns, dividend screens, semiconductor and AI sector commentary, and practical guides to algorithmic trading for people who are not quants.

FNReport is written in Korean and aimed at Korean investors trading U.S. markets, so it pairs naturally with EdgarScope's primary-source filings: read the disclosure here, read the interpretation there.
